now Why Soy Wax?

If you’re looking for a healthier alternative to paraffin candles, you may be pleased to find that soy has a lot of benefits in comparison. For instance, soy wax is derived from a vegetable (soy beans), a renewable resource while paraffin candles are derived from petroleum which is a fossil fuel.

Soy wax is bio-degradable and cleans up with just soap and water.
Our soy candles are produced with soy wax that is non-toxic and produces less soot which can be gentler on allergies and asthma compared to paraffin, which release harmful carcinogens.
We source our wax from soybeans grown here in the USA, which supports our farmers.
Soy wax also burns slower, has a stronger throw for scents and is a cleaner, safer option than paraffin candles.

How are your candles shipped?

Currently, we use USPS Priority Shipping for 2-3 day deliveries.  Cubic Shipping for smaller items from USPS is used.  In some instances due to weather or other issues related to the pandemic, USPS can be delayed.  We ship Monday-Wednesday to ensure that your candle(s) arrive in good condition and do not sit on a hot delivery truck for the weekend.  Currently we are only shipping within the United States of America.

How do I care for my candle and prolong it’s life?

The most important thing is to burn the candle safely and follow the instructions on the safety label.  It is also imperative for longevity that the candle is burned initially for 4 hours to create a complete melt pool.  This will help prevent the candle from tunneling in the future.  You can follow the Candle Care 101 instructions on our blog post Candle Care 101 – Misty Mountain Soy Candles
